Located just south of Penticton off Highway 97 South, Kaleden is a stunning lakeside community built on the western hillside of Skaha Lake. This community sprang to life in the early 1900s as an agricultural hub and transportation transfer point. Several structures and points of interest still remain including a portion of the school which, today, offers schooling for Kindergarten through Grade 5 as well as Preschool and after school care. One of the community’s favourite gathering spots is Pioneer Park featuring a sandy beach, swim docks, outdoor courts, a boat launch and so much more.
This lakeside community is known as a satellite community of Penticton and offers beautiful, rural real estate opportunities just minutes from the city. Agriculture is still prominent in this community affording residents spectacular views of vineyards and orchards as well as natural landscapes and lake vistas.
